Will never shop with Joy again
I was 1 day late on a return policy of 14 days, and they would not help me with the return of goods that were unworn but didn't fit. Even though you still have 14 days to return items after requesting a return.
From reading other reviews - it looks like they don't refund regardless. Used to be one of my favourite shops. WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN. Whatever happened to goodwill?!

Cancelled order with no explanation after a week
So they seem to think it is ok to just cancel orders after several days without providing an explanation. Apparently - after chasing to make sure they hadn’t had a data breach because the email address they use to do this is a random address and looks incredibly iffy - they had insufficient stock. Buy a lot from Joy (though not online) won’t be doing that in the future. These things matter
Response below completely misses the point @joy you did not tell me WHY the order was cancelled. Just cancelled it
Secondly, the order was not made over the bank holiday but the weekend before and should have been shipped the previous week!
Instead of coming up with poor excuses. Try improving your customer service

returned several orders due to poor quality of clothing. several months have passed..... no refund. no customer service. DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Misleading pricing
Hymn Wool Blend City Coat was listed online as discounted from £150 to £45 in a sale in July 2021. Coat arrived with permanent label stating price of £80. Flagged with Joy. Turned out it had not been £150 since 2017 and it was only this price for six months Sep 2016-March 2017. (Info provided by retail lead). Continuing to list it as reduced from £150 when it hadn't been that price since 2017 doesn't seem helpful.

Bad overall experience and would never shop with Joy again
I used to purchase from a Joy store so when it popped up as an ad I was excited to try some new clothes. The dress I ordered was absolutely huge so unfortunately I needed to return it. Upon arranging my return I was so shocked to see that they change £2.95 for returns, and there are no other options such as returning to a store. I paid for next day delivery, so essentially I am now down almost £10 for an item that was so much larger than described.
Not only this, but the refund timescale as absolutely ridiculous. I posted my package back a few weeks ago and haven’t had my refund yet. They say it can take upto 30 days which in my opinion is unacceptable- even more so when you take into account you are being charged to return the item.
Bad overall experience and would never shop with Joy again- and I’d recommend anyone to do the same.
Still waiting for a refund
I returned an item in early March. After two weeks, I still hadn't had a refund so I emailed customer services and was told it could take up to 30 days for a refund. It's now mid-April and I still haven't had my refund. I have emailed again but have had no response. Won't be shopping here again as the clothes are now very expensive for what they are as well.
SCAM website! NEVER issue refund!!!
I returned the dresses because of bad quality within the 14 days return window one month ago, which they promised they would refund me within 14 business days.
But I still CAN'T get my refund! I emailed them for several times and called them several times.
NO ONE responded to the email.
On the phone, every time there were different reasons,
"technical issue"
"talk to my manager"
"escalate to senior level"
"I just got your case today" (although they received the return one month ago)
"I will call you in 2 hours" (and disappear, never call back)
"we need investigate"
"I cant give you a deadline"
"there is nothing I can do"
"we dont have HR"
Now, it has kept my money for almost 2 months and I dont know if I could get it back.
I am desperate and contact my credit card issuer, citizen right helpline and ombudsman for help.
Have wasted so much time and emotion on it.
I wish I have never touched this scam website.

Item received by Company on 4th Feb, refund finally in account 1st March and only as a result of me giving feedback on a customer service email saying that I wouldn't order again due to the length of time it was taking to get my money back.
Shame as clothes are nice.

Don't know of any other retailer of Joy's size that doesn't do free returns. If I'd have known this before having to return, I wouldn't have bothered ordering. Everything I've received is too big even though I've ordered my usual size. Returns process is also strange, there seems to be no straightforward way of doing it apart from to email customer service.
The least they could do is allow you free returns for the hassle.

Bad Fit/Not as Described
Item was not as described. Also did not fit. I wear a size 14/16 and ordered a 3X (figured it was made overseas) and it still did not fit. After I told them I needed a refund & wanted to ship back they wanted all sorts of information & got a run around. Do not deal with this company. They have some cute stuff but it might fit your toddler.

Terrible returns service
Returned item over a month ago and when tracked with Royal Mail it can be seen as received by the company. Still no record of the return against my account, and emails to their customer service team for an update are still unanswered.

AVOID - Great Clothes but Poor Customer Service
Took me 10 days to find out actually how to do a return as their website does not let you linking from order (as per instruction). Nearly one month after returning still no refund - chat response is poor and infrequent and NOBODY WANTS TO RESOLVE CUSTOMER ISSUES. I am now £300 out of pocket and spending a stupid amount of time trying to resolve

My experience shopping online from this is a nightmare
My experience shopping online from this website is the worst ever. I ordered the clothes on 2nd of December and the delivery was due by 14th of December. Till 13th of December I did not receive any tracking number. I tried to call them, to send email, I send messaged on chat and finally they responded to my email telling me that the order has been dispatched and they requested the tracking number from the warehouse. Until 22nd of December they did not send the tracking number saying the warehouse is busy. I told them that probably the order has not been dispatched, therefore they should cancel the order and refund my money. The amount is signigant about GBP 292.00. Eventually they sent on 22nd of December a tracking number that does not work saying that they know that it does not work but the Royal Mail and API confirmed that the parcel will arrive by 7th of January 2022. I am really upset and disappointing. Is it possible a online shop not to send the tracking number? How can I trace the parcel? It is really a nightmare and the only solution is to contact a lawyer. I usually shop online, this is the first time I receive such a terrible service. I am really anxious about the money I paid. I asked them what happen if the parcel is lost, since I have not any proof that my parcel has been dispatched or to trace it.

Online ordering system needs improvement
Good store, but ordering online for the 1st time was not a brilliant experience for me. Waste of time trying to register return through the website that didn't work properly then writing to customer service. Customer service helpful.
No free returns which is also a shame.

Worst Customer Service Ever
I've been trying to organise a return for about a week now. Same as everyone else's experience here - no one answers the chat, the phone, emails or voice mails.
Their returns page won't let you tick any of the boxes to say which items you're returning or the box to say how to get your return.
Then I find out it's £3.95 to make a return. If I'd known that when I made my purchase I probably wouldn't have. I definitely won't be ordering any clothes from Joy again in the future. It's just not worth the hassle when there are so many other companies out there doing online shopping well.
